NORD's headquarters facilities in Bargteheide near Hamburg, Germany, are currently being extended, with plans to increase the location’s floor space from 31,300 m² to 52,000 m² by 2009.

Energy-saving inverters with magnetization adjustment option More efficient operation of AS motors with optimized motor current
SK 5xxE and SK 700E type frequency inverters can save re-sources by automatically reducing the magnetization of an asynchronous motor when the motor is operated under partial load. The motor current is thereby adjusted as needed, and heat losses are minimized.

Growing family of SK 5xxE frequency inverters: Extended model range now consists of six sizes
NORD has extended its SK 5xxE line of frequency inverters by new size 5 and 6 models. Thereby, new performance ranges have been added: in addition to the former 0.25 to 7.5 range, users can now also choose inverters up to 22 kW.

Giants in a UNICASE housing: New industrial gear units with max. torques up to 200,000 Nm
NORD has extended its range of industrial gear units, adding new models with maximum torques of 60,000 Nm, 90,000 Nm, 135,000 Nm and 200,000 Nm. NORD is the only supplier worldwide to construct even 90,000 Nm and beyond models according to the proven UNICASE concept.
