Bargteheide, Germany, 2006-08-25 NORD Gear has enhanced its compact line of UNICASE geared motors through design improvements.

NORD Gear has enhanced its compact line of NORDBLOC gearmotors with a number of design improvements. The new design utilized finite element analysis (FEA) to create the optimal housing made from diecast aluminum alloy. These housings allow for larger and stronger bearings, which results in higher capacity and longer bearing lifetimes. The design also eliminates seal plugs and can be assembled much more efficiently. Attachment of a new space saving, lightweight NEMA adapters have also enhanced the product.

The new NORDBLOC line consists of seven case sizes in two or three reductions. The design utilizes the same footprint dimensions as its predecessor, so it can be used as a drop in replacement. The aluminum alloy housings can be mounted in any orientation and have a robust, corrosion-resistant exterior. The new NORDBLOC line is available in a footmounted version, a flange mounted version, or a combination of both.
