The compact frequency inverters NORDAC SK 500E/520E/530E come with a wide range of basic features and can be easily adapted to specific applications. They are particularly suited for intelligent, cost-efficient drive solutions. Integrated monitoring functions for input voltage, output current and motor temperature, an integrated line filter and a sophisticated brake management ensure safe and reliable operation.
The units have a 0.25 ... 7.5 kW performance range. Standard features include sensorless current vector control (ISD), PID and process controllers, a brake chopper and a line filter. The basic model SK 500E is equipped with seven configurable control inputs, two digital inputs and one analog output, allowing for easy integration into automation environments. The SK 520E, which has a TTL encoder input, a CANopen interface and additional I/Os, offers even more options. Additionally, the SK 530E features the safety function “Safe Stop” according to EN 954-1 category 3 (stop categories 0 and 1) and an integrated POSICON positioning control which allows users to approach up to 15 positions.
The inverters can be easily adapted to individual applications, no matter how simple or complex, via plugin technology boxes. Amongst others, NORD offers Profibus, CANopen, Interbus, AS Interface and DeviceNet fieldbus modules. They come with flexible operation and control options, including single button operation (Simplebox), parameter-oriented operation (Controlbox) and system configuration without a manual (Parameterbox). The NORDCON PC software enables easy remote configuration and startup via the RS232/485 interface: motor parameters are identified automatically, and all parameters can be oscillographed to optimize the drive performance.
