45 years – NORD celebrates anniversary in Sweden

Customer proximity is one of NORD’s top priorities. In 1979, the NORD subsidiary NORD Drivsystem AB has been founded in Sollentuna near Stockholm to promote the brand in Sweden and to shorten delivery times. This year, the subsidiary celebrates its 45th anniversary. The corporate group serves the international market with 48 of its own subsidiaries and further sales partners in more than 80 countries.

The NORD subsidiary concentrates on supplying the Swedish industry with gear units and frequency inverters as well as motors and industrial gear units. The main site in Upplands Väsby provides a production area of 2,500 m2. Here, about 8,000 gear units are assembled per year. In the future, the assembly will be expanded to 10,000 units per year.

The NORD subsidiary from Sweden has offices in Upplands Väsby, Malmö, Gothenburg, Linköping and Umeå to guarantee fast and comprehensive service all over the country. The office area covers 670 m2. “I am delighted to celebrate the 45th anniversary of NORD Drivsystem AB together with our customers in Sweden, and look forward to accompanying the company to a successful future”, says Lars-Olof Strand, who has recently taken over the management of sales alongside Managing Director Tony Isaksson.
