The right interface for every task

Thanks to the comprehensive equipment during operation, parameterisation, communication, and with encoders and interfaces for field buses/Industrial Ethernet, you can integrate our frequency inverters into various control architectures and use them for various automation tasks. Depending on the frequency inverter version, the interfaces have already been integrated or are available via optional modules.

Functional safety already integrated

Functional safety is another aspect of our drive systems. We supply all frequency inverters with integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) and SS1 (Safe Stop 1). We provide fail-safe communication and safe movement functions according to IEC 61800-5 with the NORD SK TU4-PNS PROFIsafe module. Integration of safety functions into the drive unit offers many advantages in comparison with a drive solution with discrete safety technology, e.g. a high degree of scalability, the global availability of safety data for the machine as well as minimum space, external safety components and wiring.

Whether a central solution in the control cabinet or decentralised versions for use in the field: Our frequency inverters offer a variety of functions. They are equipped with an internal PLC for motor-related motion and logic control, they have a high precision regulation, they communicate via all common bus systems and can be easily integrated into all system designs. The basic equipment comprises the integrated POSICON positioning control, an energy-saving function for the partial load range, a motor brake management (important for lifting equipment applications) as well as various safety functions and a simple parameter structure. Of course, all our inverters comply with the international standards and directives.
