Two-stage helical bevel gear units
feature a robust, modular design. They deliver efficient operation with a large speed range and high functionality for the dynamic environments of baggage handling systems. An open housing design made from high-strength aluminum alloy provides high axial and radial load capabilities while effectively dissipating heat and maintaining quiet operation. These gear units offer performance of 0.16 – 12.5 HP and are available with foot, flange, or face mounting options for high versatility.

NORDBLOC.1® inline gear units
feature a robust, UNICASE™ housing for increased stability, long service life, and low maintenance. They offer 13 case sizes to choose from as well as performance of 0.16 to 60 HP. These drives are well suited for baggage handling systems as they offer high axial and radial load capacities, a large speed range, and quiet operation.
<h2>IE5+ Synchronous Motors for Energy Efficiency in Intralogistics</h2>
NORD’s new
IE5+ synchronous motors
deliver a new era of energy efficiency in a compact, cost-effective design. The ventilated housing provides high overload capacity and optimized heat dissipation ideal for intralogistics and baggage handling systems. They deliver a performance of 0.5 – 5 HP, feature an integrated encoder, and can optionally be equipped with an integrated mechanical brake. These motors are compatible with the NORD modular system and intended for use with VFD’s to achieve high efficiency over a wide torque range and ensure dynamic material flow in applications such a vertical sorting, pushers and indexers, and belt conveyors.
<h2>DuoDrive Integrated Gear Units for Compact Solutions</h2>
DuoDrive
integrated gear units are a brand-new design from NORD that combines a high-efficiency IE5+ motor with a single-stage helical gear unit in one, compact housing. These units have a power range from 0.5 to 4 HP and reduce system variants through constant motor torque over a wide speed range. This solution also results in reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and fast Return on Investment (ROI). With its simple Plug-&-Play commissioning, extremely high gear efficiency of up to 92%, high power density, and quiet operation, these drives are an ideal choice at check-in counters as well as various baggage handling systems.
