Regular Checks/NORD Smart Check

NORD Smart Check is our modular service package. It is an all-encompassing service consisting of the check of your NORD drive components. NORD Smart Check helps you increase the operational safety and system availability, and reduce unscheduled downtimes as well as maintenance costs. With Smart Check, we'll work with you to develop a transparent and comprehensive document, including our recommendations for action. Our service experts will also provide consultation in terms of planning and implementation of upcoming maintenance measures.

Preventative Maintenance

During maintenance, all recommended wearing parts are replaced, and the drive is checked by experienced for faulty functioning by experienced technicians. We point out any damage found, and provide recommendations for further action. The preventative replacement of wearing parts reduces the risk of unscheduled downtimes. This leads to the reduction of unnecessary wear on other parts, an increased system availability, and a longer product life. Maintenance is an important factor that promotes the sustainable use of your durable NORD drive.

Scheduled Repairs

During a repair, a failed or abnormal drive component (e.g. motor, gear unit or variable frequency drive) is checked by NORD, and all defective components are replaced upon request.

The repair is carried out by a qualified specialist using original spare parts, and includes the cleaning and checking of all components, the replacement of damaged or worn parts, and the renewal of seals, bearings and gear oil. Upon completion, a final assessment will take place to ensure all tasks have been performed correctly, allowing further operation and thus a longer service life.

General overhaul: For A Long Product Life

During general overhaul, the drive is completely dismantled, all components are cleaned, and defective and wearing parts are replaced. Then, after reassembly, functional testing is carried out, and the drive is freshly painted before being shipped out for delivery. General overhaul can significantly extend the life of your high-quality NORD products.
