Brazil: NORD celebrates 25th anniversary

With a global network of manufacturers and partners, NORD provides excellent customer service and support in more than 80 countries. 25 years ago, the North German company established a subsidiary in Guarulhos, Brazil, a municipality in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.

Brazil is the largest country in South America and the local industry is an important economic sector. NORD DRIVESYSTEMS Brasil Ltda. was founded in 1999 and has great success on the market today. The company was able to double its on-site production in 2018 and has recorded continuous growth since then. In Brazil, NORD is mainly present in the fields of mining, food industry, water treatment, intralogistics and mechanical engineering but also in various other industries.

The 5000 m2 location has sufficient assembly, painting and packaging capacities to supply the Brazilian market with all drive components from the NORD portfolio. The production area covers 3000 m2 and the office area 800 m2. Local stocks are sufficient to ensure short delivery times. As a local point of contact and reliable partner, NORD also offers its customers comprehensive consultation and technical support.

By moving to a new building, the Brazilian NORD location is preparing to triple its production capacity in the future. An important milestone to further promote the positive economic development on site.
