NORD opens fourth factory in China

In September 2023, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has officially opened its fourth production facility in Yangzhou in the Jiangsu province in China. The company is thus strengthening its presence in the Chinese market and is investing in state-of-the-art production technologies for innovative drive systems.

More than 300 customers and suppliers from all over the country attended the opening of NORD DRIVESYSTEMS’ new factory on 08 September in Yangzhou, and celebrated this milestone together with the NORD China employees. “We are pleased that on this special day we were able to convince our customers on site of our high standards and processes”, says Carolin von Rönne from the NORD DRIVESYSTEMS founding family's 3rd generation.

The foundation stone for a production area of 20,000 square metres was laid in October 2021. Equipped with state-of-the art production technology and complying with high environmental standards, the factory provides capacities for the production of 1.4 million drive units per year – 400,000 of which are geared motors – to further consolidate NORD’s market leadership in the field of drive technology.
