Minister of Economic Affairs visits NORD DRIVESYSTEMS

Politician visits Bargteheide: In April, we had the pleasure of welcoming Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister of Economic Affairs Claus Ruhe Madsen at NORD DRIVESYSTEMS. Among others, the constructive dialogue concerned the question under what conditions successful operation at the North German location is possible in the long term.

“I am delighted to be at NORD DRIVESYSTEMS in Bargteheide today – a successful and world-leading drive technology company with its origins in Schleswig-Holstein!”, Claus Ruhe Madsen greets. The Danish-German entrepreneur and non-party politician has been Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport, Employment, Technology and Tourism of Schleswig-Holstein’s state government since June 2022.

At our location in Bargteheide, the Minister of Economic Affairs had the opportunity for a constructive exchange with our management and the employees of NORD DRIVESYSTEMS. A tour of our production halls also gave the politician a good insight in our company’s practices. Among others, the industry-driven assembly in plant 8 and the new automated small parts warehouse underlined our innovative strength and international competitiveness in the field of drive technology.

Finally, the NORD management expressed three ideas to Claus Ruhe Madsen to be considered for his future political work: In order to continue being successful in Schleswig-Holstein, there is a need for qualified employees, attractive framework conditions regarding production costs and a reduction of bureaucratic effort, for example in connection with sustainability reporting (CSR reporting obligation) or the Supply Chain Act (LKSG).
