NORD DRIVESYSTEMS expands its Aurich site

The increasing demand for electronic components necessitates the expansion

NORD Electronic DRIVESYSTEMS invests 3.2 million Euro in its Aurich site. With this, the assembly space for customer projects will be expanded to 3,000 square meters in total. The continuously increasing demand for electronic components necessitates the expansion.

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS’ subsidiary in the East Friesian district town has been producing electronic components - mainly frequency inverters - since the beginning of the 1980s.

Commitment to the site

Following the expansion, the site will have the capacity to produce more than 400,000 units of custom-configured devices per year. This means more than triple the current production capacities. A first increase in capacity by 50 percent will already be put into action in the second quarter of 2022.

“This investment is not only due to the increasing importance of electronic components for NORD“, site manager Gerhard Harms emphasised. “It is also a clear commitment by the company to the Aurich site”.
