MAXXDRIVE® XC

The all-rounder

Small, powerful, safe: The MAXXDRIVE® XC industrial gear units convince with low weight and compact installation space. XC means eXtra Compact. Their modular design allows for their versatile application. They are available as 2- and 3-stage MAXXDRIVE® parallel gear units, and as 3- and 4-stage MAXXDRIVE® right-angle gear units. Continuous movement of heavy loads through their constant torques is their major discipline, making them a real all-rounder.

  • No additional bearings required: Due to the MAXXDRIVE® XC parallel gear units’ design, additional bearings in mixing drives are often superfluous.
  • Flexible temperature management: With their cooling and heating options, MAXXDRIVE® XC industrial gear units easily adapt to highly fluctuating ambient conditions.
  • Features & options: SAFOMI-IEC adapter, motor swing base, auxiliary drive with back stop

SAFOMI: Multi-functional adapter with convincing operational reliability

PRG Präzisions-Rührer GmbH is one of the world’s leading suppliers of agitating technology. In one of Europe’s largest biomethane plants in Friesoythe in Lower Saxony, MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear units drive the fermenters’ approximately 10-ton central agitators. For an even higher operational reliability, the SAFOMI-IEC adapter is used, which has been specifically developed for agitators. It combines the functions of a standard IEC adapter with those of an oil expansion chamber. This eliminates wear-prone components and the ambitious maintenance interval of 10 years can be achieved.

The reliability of the drives plays an important role for the plant. They are exposed to all kinds of weather and must provide smooth operation 365 days a year. We use NORD gear units because the company is a reliable partner. NORD provides excellent quality and worldwide service.
