Ideal for lifting gear

Perfectly tailored to lifting applications: With their extended centre distance, MAXXDRIVE® XD industrial gear units perfectly fit in the typical installation situation of lifting gear. XD means eXtented centre Distance. Its elongated arrangement of the gear stages allows for the U-shaped drive design with rope drum and motor on the same gear unit side. The MAXXDRIVE® parallel gear unit is available 3- and 4-stage with the same centre distance and housing dimensions.

Smooth operation without leakage: MAXXDRIVE® XD for bridge cranes

The Polish lifting system specialist PROTEA relies on drive concepts from NORD. Their bridge cranes are used, among other things, to transport bales of straw in biogas production. Their lifting gear uses the robust MAXXDRIVE® XD with a motor power of 18.5 kW. Crane and trolley are based on NORD drives with powers of 0.55 and 11 kW. PROTEA appreciates the long service life and low maintenance requirements of NORD drive units.

The one-piece UNICASE™ housing guarantees high durability and low maintenance costs. Double seals ensure smooth operation without leakage. We chose NORD components because the company is a reliable partner with whom we have been working for many years.
